MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Gía is a 9-year-old girl submerged in the most painful and incomprehensible dilemma that any infant can face: the absence of her parents. Fortunately, Gia has Salvador, a humble fisherman, that becomes
some sort of best friend to the little girl. Both, struggle to survive in a humble and remote fishing village in Puerto Rico. Salvador, who is also the closest friend of Gía's missing father, assumes a paternal role and does the impossible to strengthen the faith and hope of the girl. He is certain that living in that remote area under those circumstances, is the only she has to live a normal live. But one day the wise Caribbean Sea drags something really impressive to the shore of the beach where Gía drowns her sorrows: An enormous Christ carved in wood! Gía feels that this is a divine sign — and that somehow her father Santiago, who had been swallowed by the sea, might one day return to her side.
Here begins the true challenge of a girl who will have to proof everyone in the village and who, together with a brave teacher and a mysterious beggar, that faith can not only move mountains, but also oceans!
