MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The first Latin American boxing champion, Panama Al Brown hung up his gloves more than a year ago and is the star of the show at the Capricce Viennois, a second-rate cabaret on Rue Pigale in Paris. One night, the poet Jean Cocteau attends the show and falls under its spell. He confesses that he has never seen a boxing match, but wants to be his manager and friend. Now Brown faces a fight, in and out of the ring, to regain the crown that was stolen from him and his dignity as a human being.
