MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Pepita (María León), a young woman from rural Cordoba, went to Madrid after the war to be near his sister Hortensia (Inma Cuesta) that she is pregnant and in prison.

Pepita meets Paulino (Marc Clotet), from a bourgeois family in Valencia, struggling with his brother in Madrid. Despite the difficulty of their relationship, fall in love passionately.

Hortensia is tried and sentenced to death. Execution will not take place until after delivery. Pepita try by all means and in all instances that condone execution. Every day is going to prison in order to receive the future son of Hortensia, pleading not give it up for adoption or intern in an orphanage.
